Hunger pangs. Worry. Unsure how to make ends meet. We hear things like this every week...
This past year, Judy, a single mom diagnosed with cancer joined our homebound delivery program. She was unable to work, and needed to provide nutritious food for her children while she went through her cancer treatment. Every week, Project MANA volunteers delivered fresh produce and other groceries to her home. Project MANA connected her to the CalFresh program (food stamps) so that she had more support. This summer, she notified Project MANA that her cancer was in remission and she was able to go back to work and no longer needed to be on our homebound delivery program.
This is why Project MANA exists in our community. The high cost of living, seasonal jobs, high rural unemployment rates, and family medical crisis' increase the need for access to emergency food. Thanks to supporters like you, Project MANA was able to provide food to over 3,000 community members in need last year through our mobile food distribution and homebound delivery programs. Your support assists families like Judy's make ends meet in a time of crisis.
We know there are so many wonderful charities to invest in throughout our community. Please know that we are so honored when you consider Project MANA for your year-end gift. We have secured a 1:1 matching opportunity in the amount of $24,225 thanks to the generosity of our supporters. Please help us reach our year-end goal of $100,000.
